New Amtrak Bus Connections to Bakersfield
Traveling to Bakersfield from the beach and the desert just got a lot easier.
With Amtrak's Thruway Route 10, travelers from Santa Barbara, Ventura County and Las Vegas can now reach California's ninth largest city without the need to purchase a train component. Route 10 offers one roundtrip daily between Las Vegas and Bakersfield, with stops in Barstow, Mojave and Tehachapi. Route 10 also offers two roundtrips connecting Santa Barbara, Carpenteria and four cities in Ventura County – Ventura, Oxnard, Santa Paula and Fillmore -- with Bakersfield.
All Amtrak ThruWay buses allow you to stay connected with outlets at all seats and free w-fi aboard. Relax in comfort in air-conditioned cabins with individual lighting, lack of middle seats and reclining seats. Buses also have clean bathrooms for your convenience and have the same baggage policies as Amtrak trains, including carry-on items and checked baggage.
Route 10 Schedule
All Amtrak ThruWay Route 10 buses arrive and depart from Bakersfield's Amtrak Station at 601 Truxtun Avenue. You can find a detailed schedule for Route 10 here.
